Please note that we are not associated with the companies doing gender test using blood DNA technologies. We perform the procedure by testing urine, while the Y-DNA test is performed by testing a blood sample.

How Does It Work?
When one places the order for this service, we mail them a urine sample collection bottle containing a boric acid preservative tablet. (To customers outside USA, we simply mail this tablet and they buy the bottle from any local pharmacy store.). Customers collect samples as per instructions below and mail it through an approved, prepaid laboratory pack sent by us.

How to collect samples for post-conception test?
Upon receiving an order from you over the phone or this website, we will send you a package with the items listed below:

1. A copy of our brochure and "Customer Agreement & Report Card"
2. One 30 ml sample collection tube with a boric acid preservative tablet in it. (Customers outside USA will receive one preservative tablets only. They can buy urine sample collection bottle from local pharmacy and add the tablet to bottle upon receipt.)
3. One dropper for transferring sample from any disposable container to this tube. (Customers collecting sample in advance can use a small disposable plastic spoon instead)
4. One absorbent pad and one ziploc bag. (if the absorbant pad is missing, place some paper napkins)
5. A diagnostic sample mailing bag with airway bill pasted on it.

First: Carefully read the brochure from the website and / or call 313 574 7500 for clarification.
Second: Fill out the 'Customer Agreement & Report Card'. It is important that this form is completely filled out and the woman should sign it. The address must be written clearly, otherwise the report may get delayed. If paid by credit card, the card holder or any close relative must also sign to authorize the transaction.
Third: Determine the number of days after last menstrual period (LMP). Suppose the first day of previous menstrual date was January 1 and today is February 15, write 45 days here.
Fourth: Customers from outside USA should sign the airbill as sender. Keep the first copy for your records.

CAUTION: PLEASE DO NOT LET CHILDREN PLAY WITH ANY ITEM OF THE PACKAGE AS IT MAY CONTAIN PRESERVATIVES WHICH MAY BE DANGEROUS. PLEASE ARRANGE FOR GLOVES, IF NEEDED.

The Normal Process:
Samples are collected during the period when you sleep. About 12 ml of sample (four droppers full or three spoonfuls) is to be collected each night for two nights (total around 24 ml). Each time you collect the sample, the sample collection tube should be capped and wrapped in foil, placed in the ziploc bag, and placed in the freezer.

1. Please keep these five items ready in the bathroom: specimen collection tube, the dropper (or spoon), one disposable foam or paper cup, a piece of aluminum foil and the ziploc bag. The night you want to start collecting samples, have your dinner around 8.30-9.00pm. Pass the urine before going to bed. Do not collect this sample.
2. If you wake up straightaway in the morning after about 5-6 hours of sleep, collect midstream urine in the disposable cup, and transfer 4 droppers full (or three spoonfuls) to the sample collection tube.
3. If you wake up in around say 3.0 am collect midstream urine in the disposable cup, and transfer 2 droppers full (one spoonful) to the collection tube. In the morning, say 7:00am, you will again collect midstream urine in the disposable cup, and transfer the another 2 droppers full (now two spoonsfuls) to the same collection tube. Tightly cap the tube, wrap it with aluminum foil and then in the ziploc bag, and keep in freezer. Wash and save the dropper till the next day. Discard the remaining sample in the disposable cup. If you feel thirsty around midnight, you may have water (no soft drink please).
4. Repeat sample collection for the next night. Thus you will collect a total of eight droppers full (or six spoonfuls) in the same bottle. If you wake up frequently, collect one dropper (3ml) every time. Please do not miss any sample.

NOTE: Please avoid exposing urine sample to daylight or sunlight. Keep the tube covered with aluminum foil and enclose it in the ziploc bag and keep in the freezer all the time. If you are regularly taking some medicines, you may continue them. The medicine for the day should preferably be taken after collecting the sample. (If you work during night, you can collect during daytime. Since the resting period in these cases is usually small, it is advised to collect 9cc each for three days (a total of 27cc). If you forget to collect on one day, you can do it on some other day as long as the previous sample is in freezer. The timings are approximate and you can change the shipping day to suit your schedule).

The Speedy Process:
To speed up the process and reduce the time between order receipt and mailing.

1. After you have ordered the package, you may start sample collection immediately as shown above. Do not worry if there is no preservative because freezing preserves the sample for our purposes. Customers outside USA can add the preservative tablet sent by us to the sample and ship it.
2. If we have sent the bottle to you, completely melt the sample in your bottle under cold water and transfer about 8 droppers full in our tube. Cap our tube and wrap aluminum foil around it. There is no need to freeze it now and you can mail it back the same day. This way you will save 2 to 3 days.

How to Mail Samples:

1. Check that your address is there on the airway bill pasted on the FEDEX or UPS bag. Remove the first copy for your record.
2. The sample tube must be wrapped with aluminum foil. Place the tube in a zip lock bag and seal it thoroughly. Place it in the shipping box.
3. Insert the shipping box in 'Diagnostic Specimen Envelop' or ‘Laboratory Pak’.
4. Enclose the signed agreement, self addressed envelope, and the appropriate money order, if not paid, in a separate ziploc bag, and seal it. Place it in the bag. Remove the masking tape and close the bag. You may drop the package in any FEDEX or UPS drop box. (Attention customers from outside USA: The address label on the return bag has three copies of commercial invoice under it. Please sign all the three forms as well as the address label. We provide you those forms but it is better to visit the FEDEX or UPS office, as the case may be, and personally handover the package to them to avoid any delay.)

NOTE: DO NOT PUT REFRIGERATOR ICE OR DRY ICE IN THE PACKAGE. IT WILL START LEAKING AND WILL BE DELAYED BY COURIER.

It is good to track the package with the courier to make sure it is delivered in time.

We report the result within 4 days of receipt of fee and sample.
Customer should ensure that she gets the report directly from us.
